Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings, provide oral health education, and assist the dentist during procedures. Duties: - Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing - Take and develop dental x-rays - Conduct patient assessments and screenings for oral health conditions - Administer local anesthesia as directed by the dentist - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for home care - Assist the dentist during procedures by handing instruments, maintaining a clear field of vision, and providing patient comfort - Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories - Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment - Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy Experience: - Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist preferred but not required - Knowledge of medical coding and terminology - Familiarity with dental imaging software (CAD) - Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental practice management software - Strong understanding of infection control procedures in a dental setting - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices - Ability to take accurate vital signs and perform basic patient assessments - Solid understanding of dental anatomy and oral health conditions - Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
