Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities to implement behavior plans and provide support in various settings. Your role will involve assisting clients with daily activities, implementing behavior management strategies, and promoting positive behavioral changes.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze client behavior and develop individualized behavior plans
- Implement behavior management techniques and strategies
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and behavior observations
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality
Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health is preferred
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and interventions
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health
- Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviors in a calm and professional manner
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients, their families, and the healthcare team
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field is a plus
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is preferred but not required
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
