Essential Function: The Registered Behavior Technician will provide intensive therapy to students with developmental disabilities in a school setting using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Services aim to help children and families achieve the goals outlined in individual treatment plans. This position is responsible for assisting in the development, coordination, and implementation of individual student and class-wide behavior initiatives, protocols, and behavior intervention plans.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Assist Behavior Analyst with conducting functional assessments
- Assist with the implementation of individualized behavior intervention plans
- Assist in monitoring the individual behavior plans in each classroom
- Assist and train classroom staff on behavior management techniques
- Intervene directly in the classrooms and other school areas when needed to assist students in achieving their behavioral goals
- Conduct assessments such as ABLLS-R and VB-MAPP on each student in the classroom and monitor progress on assessment goals
- Assist in creating programs based on assessment results
- Work 1:1 with students on IEP goals and program goals from assessments
- Attend weekly interdisciplinary meetings and other meetings concerning student behavior
- Assist in gathering accurate and consistent data as well as analyzing data collected
- Graph student and school-wide data for informational and program improvement purposes
- Attendance at IEP meetings as requested
- Provide support in crisis situations
- Coordination and implementation of crisis procedures and policies
- Consultation with and training of public school staff who serve students in the reintegration process
- Assist with parent training in effective behavior management strategies and techniques at parent meetings as requested
- Training required to sustain a PCM Practitioner 2P level certification
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year experience with the Autism and developmentally disabled population
- Minimum 1 year experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Additional stipend for Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, Psychology or related fields

Pay: From $20.50 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
