Position:Registered Behavior Technician
Location: Columbia, SC
Job Summary: As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy programs for individuals diagnosed with autism or other developmental disorders. Your role will involve providing direct one-on-one behavioral intervention, collecting data, and implementing behavior support plans to assist clients in acquiring and enhancing various skills.
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed by the BCBA to target behavioral goals and skill development.
- Provide direct one-on-one ABA therapy to clients in home, school, or clinical settings.
- Collect accurate and detailed data on client progress and behavior during therapy sessions.
- Assist in the creation of data collection tools and behavior support plans as directed by the BCBA.
- Use positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques to encourage desired behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Collaborate effectively with the BCBA and other team members to review progress, discuss strategies, and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while interacting with clients and their families.
- Participate in ongoing training and supervision sessions as required for maintaining RBT certification.
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards and guidelines set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field is preferred).
- Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
