The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving front line sales and meeting assigned quota for the territory they handle. This is a frontline sales position and will be a perfect fit for a high energy, sales hunter/closer!
Responsibilities include:
- 5+ years in a direct sales position selling wastewater equipment to contractors on municipal water & wastewater projects. Existing relationships with manufacturers’ reps and able to hire (or replace) reps if required.
- Review project specs to position Rodney Hunt strategically and pursue bids to convert a lead/bid to a purchase order. Work on projects with consultants at early stages.
- Travel (50%) to support sales reps and schedule calls. Conduct Technical Sales Presentations to engineers, end users, and decision makers.
- Increase sales through targeted sales campaigns to meet annual territory sales and profitability targets.
- Review purchase orders for pricing, lead times, terms and conditions before passing on the purchase order to project management team.
- Ability to effectively present information in a clear and organized manner, respond professionally and accurately to questions from reps and consultants.
- Manage multiple responsibilities throughout the day, demonstrating flexibility in a fast-growing company. Other duties as required
Required:
- 4-year Engineering degree; preferably in Mechanical Engineering. Technical degree or equivalent.
- 5 years’ experience in a valve or gate industry. Relevant wastewater sales experience will also be considered.
- Demonstrated, excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and multi-task in order to meet deadlines
