POSITION TITLE: Regional Sales Manager EFFECTIVE DATE: December 2023

DEPARTMENT: Sales

Salary: Compensation consists of base pay commensurate with experience + sales bonus/commission

Location: Willoughby, OH

POSITION SUMMARY:

We’re looking for a Regional Sales Manager to manage, plan, and direct the selling process related to the sale of pastes, pasting equipment, and automated brazing and soldering machines throughout the Western US market.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, present, and respond to proposals for specific customer requirements.

• Confer with customers to assess equipment needs, determine process requirements, and understand technical customer requirements.

• Research, identify, and visit potential customers for products or services, demonstrate Fusion capabilities, and promote the sale of company products.

• Establish strong customer relations and maintain home office contact with key customers. Visit key customers with appropriate frequency to ensure optimum customer satisfaction.

• Facilitate collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Technical Services, Customer Service, and other areas to support the sale or troubleshooting of Fusion products.

• Keep informed on industry news and trends, products, services, competitors, relevant information about legacy, existing, and emerging technologies, and the latest product-line developments.

• Plan, modify, and recommend product configurations to meet customer needs.

• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to explain products to customers/ prospective customers.

• Recommend improved materials or machinery to customers, documenting how such changes will lower costs or increase production.

• Maintain accurate sales forecasting, document account activities, generate call reports, and keep records of business transactions with customers and suppliers.

• Support marketing to develop sales plans to introduce and promote Fusion products throughout territory.

• Attend trade shows and seminars to promote products or to learn about industry developments.

• Attend company training seminars to become familiar with product lines, capabilities, and ongoing professional development.

• Develop and maintain exceptional customer relations through sales and service.Work with new or established accounts to develop the full market potential.Identify resale opportunities to achieve sales plans.

• Provide technical, problem-solving, and value-added selling. Negotiate process and terms to drive business development.

• Represent Fusion during contract and sales negotiations. Facilitate quotations ensuring all documents and data are completed.

• Commit to following established procedures and guidelines as required by ISO 9001:2015 standards. Follow established procedures and seek opportunities for continuous process improvement.

• Adhere to prescribed safety rules and regulations.

• Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Field sales experience in the manufacturing industry selling capital equipment.

• Technical/Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with automation.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication and negotiating skills.

• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Display willingness and ability to make sound, accurate decisions.

• Ability to travel throughout the U.S. and work with minimal direction and supervision.

• Experience using a Customer Relationship Management tool.

 

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Business or engineering degree.

• Experience with various brazing and soldering metal-joining processes.

• Experience selling filler metals, paste alloys, and applicator equipment for brazing.

• Professional training and education in mechanical engineering or chemical background.
