We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Regional RN MDS Director to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities:
MDS Coordination:
Oversee and coordinate MDS assessments for patients within the assigned region.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and documentation standards.
Collaborate with facility staff to gather necessary information for MDS assessments.
Quality Assurance:
Monitor and assess the quality of MDS assessments to maintain high standards of accuracy.
Implement and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance overall patient care.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of MDS assessments within the region.
Generate reports on regional MDS activities and outcomes.
Communicate assessment findings to relevant healthcare professionals.
Training and Education:
Provide training and education to healthcare staff within the region on MDS assessment processes and compliance.
Stay informed about updates and changes in MDS regulations and ensure regional staff compliance.
Collaboration and Communication:
Foster effective communication and collaboration with facility staff, administrators, and other healthcare professionals.
Act as a liaison between facilities and the central office regarding MDS coordination.
Leadership:
Provide leadership and guidance to MDS coordinators and staff within the region.
Ensure a cohesive and well-coordinated approach to MDS assessments across facilities.
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Proven experience in conducting and coordinating MDS assessments in a healthcare setting.
- In-depth understanding of MDS regulations and compliance standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a leadership role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in MDS coordination.
- Previous experience in a regional or multi-facility healthcare role.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
