Regional Property Manager

Seeking an experienced Regional Property Manager to manage a group of buildings with approximately 1300 units in Bergen County, New Jersey. Candidate must have at least 7 years’ Property Manager experience with market-rate properties. The ideal candidate is a detail oriented, tech savvy individual with strong organizational skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Ensuring that buildings are well maintained by following maintenance schedules and ensuring repairs are performed promptly

· Travel to all of our properties for inspections

· Negotiating with vendors to secure the best rates on materials needed for repairs or renovations

· Monitoring tenant satisfaction levels and identifying potential issues that may affect the tenant experience

· Evaluating property performance vacancy, open work orders, tracking and resolving inspections

· Arrange for maintenance repairs as needed

· Meet with potential tenants

· Help mitigate tenant issues

· Communicating with tenants about capital improvements, rent increases, lease agreements and disclosures

· Overseeing maintenance tasks such as responding to tenant requests for repairs

· Conducting inspections of units to ensure they are maintained in good condition

· Coordinating repairs with contractors to ensure a timely turnaround time

· Managing the leasing process for vacant units to ensure timely turnover timeframes are met

Requirements and Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in business administration or a relevant field

· Several years of property management experience

· Budget management and vendor management experience

· Experience with Rent Manager or similar software

· Communication and problem-solving skills
