Minimum Qualifications:
- High school/GED required.
- At least 2 years prior experience in an Affordable Living Community Manager role, and COS, SCHM or equivalent designations required; previous experience with HUD and tax credits required.
- Moves equipment and supplies weighing up to 25 lbs on a regular basis.
- Be able to travel efficiently to various Affordable Living communities. Occasional over-night travel may be necessary.
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Able to read, write and communicate effectively in the English language.
- Able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
- Able and willing to work independently with flexibility and integrity, as well as effectively and harmoniously with team members, residents, family members, volunteers, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
- Must be fully up to date with required vaccinations.
As a Director of Resident Support you can expect to:
- Oversees and performs file reviews bi-monthly for each Affordable Living property to ensure the HUD, HOME, RD and/or Tax Credit Recertification, MI’s and MO’s are correct, timely and thorough. This requires remaining current with all regulations related to the various funding sources and attending training annually for HUD and Tax Credits.
- Is responsible for recruiting, managing, training, developing and evaluating assigned team members. Provides leadership and supervision to team members of assigned Affordable Living communities. Completes performance evaluations and ensures proper staffing levels are met. Ensures Community Managers and Recertification Clerks are informed of any changes in the regulations and provides training as needed.
- Assists in the development, implementation and review of community/department policies and procedures and participates in making recommended changes.
- Reviews monthly budget reports with the community managers to ensure community is meeting budget.
- Ensures rent increases for all HCV and PBV are submitted on time and implemented for assigned communities.
- Ensures Community Managers are performing quarterly checks for Utility Allowance updates and that Utility Allowances are implemented on time.
- Participates in new lease up or initial TC Team.
- Participates in all MORs, OCCH and OHFA site reviews and ensures responses are submitted on time for assigned communities.
