Job Title

Regional Branch Operations Officer

Banesco USA is seeking a Regional Branch Operations Officer for our South Florida Branches Team.

Primary Job Duties

  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of all branches ensuring efficiency, compliance and exceptional customer service.
  • Oversees and provides leadership and guidance in developing and implementing high-level customer service standards for the branch team.
  • Performs an onsite audits of all 5 branches throughout the year.
  • Assists with branch external audits and reporting to ensure that the branch is operating in compliance with Federal and State banking requirements and Certifications.
  • Serves as liaison between branches and various departments like BSA, Compliance, Fraud, Physical Security, Facilities, Marketing, BI, I/T, Strategic Planning, Risk etc. This includes coordinating meetings.
  • Support to other areas is ongoing- Multiple areas such as P.R, Corporate lending, International etc.
  • Updates the Branch Manual as needed: This includes step by step procedures to help support the branches with their daily operational duties.
  • Updates the Bank's intranet site as needed with current forms and other information as needed.
  • Revamping/updating branch forms as needed. As well as eliminating unnecessary forms.
  • Supervise and coordinate all operational activities within the branches to ensure smooth functioning of daily operations.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Hire, train and mentor branch staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Coordinate staff scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage in all branches.
  • Ensuring that Annual trainings are completed.
  • Coordinate weekly CSM calls
  • Oversee the Bank’s customer service surveys for the branches to ensure a high quality service delivery to enhance customer satisfaction. Address any deficiencies and coach to improve performance.
  • Responsible for coordinating efforts to ensure that all requests from BSA and any pending items are completed by branch staff on a timely basis and reporting any exceptions to the corresponding manager including the head of branches.
  • Responsible for coordinating efforts to ensure that all requests from Operations quality control for new account reviews are completed by branch staff on a timely matter.
  • Coordinates branch coverage as needed.
  • Regularly conducts meeting with Client Service Managers.
  • Conducts branch visits on a regular basis.
  • Addresses any operational gaps and finds solutions.
  • Responsible for other projects assigned on a periodic basis.
  • Responsible for completing annual training assigned.
  • Performs other functions and/or duties.


Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Five (5) years of experience in Retail banking and managerial role or equivalent experience.
  • Advance computer skills including but not limited to proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • Must be bilingual in both English and Spanish. Ability to fluently speak, understand, read and write both languages.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy and the ability to multi-task, with strong organization, time-management and prioritizing skills.
  • Strong customer service skills, ensuring satisfaction of both internal and external customers.
  • Advance knowledge in branch operation activities, terminology and products and services.
  • Knowledge of selling and cross-selling techniques to provide customers with the bank’s products and services.
  • Advance knowledge of related State and Federal banking compliance regulations and operational policies.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills make determination to providing customers with solutions.
