Job Description
The Refurbishment Operations/Logistics Supervisor is responsible for coordinating operations personnel to enable the daily build plan. Inclusive of meeting production, quality, safety and housekeeping objectives. Oversee and direct the receiving, teardown, rework/recert, stretch wrap and fork truck and preconditioning personnel.
Responsible for working cross-departmentally to communicate and resolve daily operations and quality issues. Reassign employees as required and give direction when Manager is absent from work area and as required to maintain daily production. Manage day to day timekeeping system and weekly hours approvals.
Receiving/Shipping:
- Coordinate the daily operations of the Refurbishment and Preconditioning area inclusive of directing and reassigning operators
- Ensure all inbound materials are received into the access database; confirm accuracy
- Support transfer of components to the floor and storage locations
- Identify shortages or surpluses and communicate to Refurbishment Manager
- Monitor flow of inbound and outbound activities
- Input daily builds onto log sheets and validate material consumption
- Support accuracy to work orders and prepare and record all shipping documentation required for each outbound shipment
- Work with Quality and Logistics to insure daily outbound orders are correct and shipped on time
- Coordinate and schedule outbound and inbound material and product shipments to insure on time deliveries
- Coordinate loading of trucks to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Coordinate Company truck if needed to insure on time deliveries
- Communicate delays, errors to Manager
- Adhere to and support all safety procedures and SOP’s
Knowledge & Skills:
- 5 – 8 years’ experience in manufacturing environment
- 3 – 5 years in a supervisory position
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, Outlook, Word, and ERP knowledge
- Knowledge of the logistic industry and dealing with trucking companies
- Forklift experience
- Ability to work as a team member to accomplish daily tasks
- Strong team building skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment
- Basic knowledge and understanding of the inter-related processes of production, shipping, inventory, and the end-user
- Ability to comply with standard processes and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with team and management
- Ability to trouble-shoot problems and resolve issues effectively
Travel & Availability:
Travel to Corporate offices and customer sites as needed.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, frequently will be required to stand for long periods, use hands/fingers repetitively, handle or feel objects, tools, or and talk or hear. Good hand-eye coordination.
Will be required to walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch and lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include some close vision.
