Operations Supervisor

MS-IL Staffing & Packaging, and its local client are NOW HIRING an Operations Supervisor in the Indianapolis, Indiana, area!

Pay:$24.00 - $28.00 / hour

Shift:2nd shift, 1:30PM - 10PM, Monday to Friday

Job Overview: Oversee the facility's operations, including developing policies, overseeing daily activities, and coordinating materials and staff resources to align with business objectives.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee and guide operations in alignment with corporate strategies and policies to achieve short and long-term objectives.
• Manage procurement to ensure continuous supply at optimal expenses.
• Direct operational activities for timely product distribution.
• Support client operations and cost optimization.
• Lead and inspire subordinate staff, conducting performance reviews and fostering professional growth.
• Additional responsibilities as delegated.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 to 5 years’ of relevant experience is REQUIRED
• Basic mathematical skills
• Ability to read/write and interpret documents

Preferred Qualifications:

• College Degree in a related field
• Warehouse experience
• Logistics experience
• Six Sigma experience

Physical Requirements:

• Can walk, carry, reach, stand, and stoop for long periods of time
• Can lift, push or pull items of varying weight
• Can work from heights of up to 20 feet from floor
• Can work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
• Can work with noise and hazardous equipment

Additional Info:

• Will manage a team of less than 20 people
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers in other business areas
• Working knowledge of computerized applications (word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation software, email).
