Job description

Summary

Creates online Sheriff’s Office recruiting accounts with job posting websites and conducts daily monitoring of interest. Maintains accounts and manages information uploaded to accounts. Assists at various job fairs, career fairs, and recruiting efforts by Department. Works as a liaison for candidates going through the background process and assists recruiters with outreach. Assists with exit interviews and compiles data on resignation trends.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creates and manages online recruiter posting accounts.
  • Participates in job fair coordination efforts.
  • Schedules career day and job fairs reservations, including making contact with candidates, speaks with interested parties, sets up booths, and other tasks as needed.
  • Screens applicants for minimum job eligibility requirements.
  • Makes calls to potential candidates for employment.
  • Tracks participants and contacts made through recruiting efforts.
  • Collects and monitors applicant data.
  • Sends notices to applicants who are not eligible or selected.
  • Schedules and facilitates new employee orientation briefings and initial testing processes.
  • Implements and ensures current recruiting industry standards are upheld.
  • Monitors applicants progress and assists in completion of applications.
  • Collects data from employee during exit interviews.
  • Prepares reports for administrative staff.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Associates degree or equivalent. Three (3) years of related experience in recruiting and/or job fairs. Experience in maintaining online job posting accounts. Human Resource experience preferred. Must obtain TCIC/NCIC less than full access within six (6) months of hire. Must possess a valid Texas driver license within thirty (30) days of hire. Must possess records management skills. Must be familiar with the use of a desktop computer and proficient in data entry, spreadsheets, databases, and keyboarding as well as navigating various computer applications. Must be very detail-oriented and the ability to complete a high volume of complex work independently with minimal oversight in a stressful environment. Must be able to exercise ethical decision making.

If hired, must provide proof of educational attainment
at New Hire Processing or during the promotional process.

Tarrant County will conduct background checks that will include a criminal background check and may include credit reports, motor vehicle records, employment records, educational attainment, or additional State or Federal legal requirements.

Physical Demands and Work Environment & Other Requirements

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, stand, lift, transport, stoop, grasp, climb, walk and bend.
