Responsible for attracting, screening, recruiting, and selecting new employees. Utilizes creative and non-traditional recruitment strategies to build an experienced, skilled, and diverse talent pool.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Identifies, sources, screens, and recruits candidates primarily for entry-level and manufacturing positions.
- Interviews and screens applicants for technical competencies, applicable background, skills and ability to fit the organization culture.
- Establishes and maintains successful relationships with colleges, community partners, temporary staffing agencies, professional associations, and other organizations that provide recruitment value.
- Determines the appropriate recruiting sources (e.g., advertising, social media, employee referrals, temporary staffing agencies, and job fairs) to develops candidate pipelines to meet specified skill set and volume recruiting requirements.
- Assists managers and supervisors in selecting the most qualified candidates.
- Facilitates initial candidate meetings and post-interview discussions.
- Coordinates the employment offers process with candidates and management. Provides candidates with pre-employment information regarding job requirements, wages, benefits, and employment policies.
- Coordinates and facilities new employee orientation.
- Implements special recruitment programs aimed at attracting candidates for both high volume and technical positions.
- Conducts employee retention activities. Generates and analyzes data to identify trends, and areas for improvement.
- Assists in gathering and preparing employment data for reports and analysis as required.
- Assists in daily HR activities as needed including benefits, HRIS-related tasks and exit interviews.
- Manages internal recruitment/selection efforts.
- Any other projects as required.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field or two years of human resources experience including: generalist, talent sourcing, interviewing, and assessing technical skills or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Interviewing and candidate evaluation proficiency
- Knowledgeable and skilled in using social media (i.e. Linked In, Twitter and job boards) to attract candidates
- Ability to travel to local and regional recruitment events as a representative of the company.

- Working knowledge of HRIS and Applicant Tracking systems, and Microsoft Office products
- Typically work is in an office environment where the noise level is low to moderate

- Ability to lift boxes/materials weighing up to 10 lbs
- Requires telephone work and/or computer work, as well as interactions with other employees and customers
- Ability to read, write, listen and speak
