Annual Salary Range:
Recreation Coordinator: $69,542 - $92,839
Sr. Recreation Coordinator: $74,877 - $99,961

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Work Experience:
Recreation Coordinator:
Requires two (2) years of experience in the implementation and coordination of recreational, social and cultural programs and activities, including some experience supervising and officiating recreation activities.
Sr. Recreation Coordinator:
Requires two (2) years of experience, in the implementation and coordination of recreational, social and cultural programs, or sports facility management and operations, and activities according to the requirements of the assigned area, including one year of supervisory experience.
Candidates must have the minimum amount of work experience. Years of experience are based upon a full-time work schedule (2,080 hours per year). The sum of an applicant’s full-time and/or part-time qualifying work experience must meet or exceed the stated minimum qualification. Education will not substitute for the required work experience; however, related unpaid and/or volunteer work experience may be used as qualifying work experience.
Education:
Both levels:
Requires the equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in recreation, recreation administration or degree related to the core functions of this position.
The term “equivalent” means that directly related work experience exceeding the required work experience will substitute in equal time increments for college-level education, for example: one year of additional directly related work experience will substitute for one year of college education (30 credit hours).
Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations:
- Possession of, or required to obtain within six (6) months of hire, certifications from USPTA (United States Professional Tennis Association) (P1 or P2), OR USPTR (United States Professional Tennis Registry) Professional certification and N.T.R.P. (National Tennis Rating Program) rating of 4.0 plus or greater.
- Possession of, or required to obtain First Aid, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and CPR certification.
