Job description

Safety and Compliance Coordinator
Job Summary: This position is responsible for the efficient handling and processing of Incident Reports for RCSC, including organized record keeping and statistical reporting of incidents. Additional compliance and safety responsibilities include AED management and reporting, ADA Reasonable Accommodation request review and processing, and maintenance of company and department policies and documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Processes incident reports according to RCSC's Corporate Documents.
  • Reviews and researches all received incident reports to ensure the incident reports are accurately completed and site conditions are properly recorded.
  • Drafts correspondence related to each incident report and responds to any inquiries to the incident report or correspondence.
  • Assists in creating summary reports regarding Incident Reporting instances.
  • Assists in the inspection of facilities regularly to identify fire, safety, and security risks. Recommends solutions to address the identified risks and/or creates work orders for deficiency remediation.
  • Reviews ADA Reasonable Accommodation requests and researches the requested accommodation and the ability of RCSC to accommodate the request. Provides information for the accommodation decision and communication to the requestor.
  • Maintains all Management Directives and assists in coordinating training to RCSC personnel on Management Directives and policies. Ensures access to Management Directives by all RCSC personnel.
  • Manages the AED SHARE (State of Arizona) program at 28 RCSC locations. Maintains the supplies for all AED machines installed at RCSC locations.
  • RCSC Evacuation and Fire Plans and Training Drills - Assists the review of evacuation and fire plans and the completion of periodic testing drills of these plans.
  • Maintains all after hours call lists, including but not limited to Alarm, SES, and Non-Emergency call lists.
  • Reviews video surveillance recordings and extracts video files as required for incident report documentation and training purposes.
  • Assists in the maintenance and revision of policies, procedures, databases, and records for the department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree, preferred.
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of work experience where insurance, legal, and/ or compliance has been emphasized.
  • Public Safety experience a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Strong experience using Adobe Acrobat Pro, preferred
  • Any equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid State of Arizona Driver's License.

  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Gathers and analyzes information skillfully. Works well in group problem solving situations and as a member of a team. Communicates changes and progress.
  • Knowledge of office practices, procedures, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and plan daily workloads.
  • High degree of accountability, initiative, and dependability. Keeps commitments. Works with integrity and ethically. Supports organization's goals and values. Generates suggestions for improving effectiveness and efficiency. Displays willingness to make decisions.
