Under general supervision, performs basic clerical, receptionist and custodial work for the Parks and Recreation Department. Is responsible for preparation and operation of Town public recreation and/or community facilities. Reports to Facility Manager and/or Recreation Supervisor.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:REQUIRED:
- Graduation from an accredited high school or GED;
- Possession of at least 6 months of customer service or clerical experience;
- Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office to include Word and/or Excel.
- Performs recreational work in coordinating and assisting with athletic or recreation programs for the Police Athletic League (PAL).
- Is responsible for assisting with organized league sports, classes and programs or special events as assigned. Reports to the PAL Director.
- Work hours will vary and will be based on the following days and times never exceeding twenty-five (25) hours per week.
- Work hours are between: Monday-Friday 1:30 PM - 9:00 PM and Saturday 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM; work hours subject to change depending on special events.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays and special events are required
- Must possess a valid Class "E" Florida Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Not have any drivers' license suspensions within five years of the date of this application.
- Not have a DUI arrest and/or conviction in the last five years.
- Not have failed a Town of Davie Background Investigation, Oral Board Interview. Medical, Polygraph or Psychological Exam within the past year.
- Not have steroid usage within five years of the date of this application.
- Not have visible tattoos above the collarbone on the neck, face, head, scalp or on the hands or feet;
- Not have used any illegal controlled substances within three (3) years of the date of this application with the exception of marijuana. All applicants must not have used marijuana or cannabis in any form within one (1) year of the date of this application.
- Not have used any tobacco products within six (6) months of the date of this application.
SALARY:
Employees Hired Prior to 10/1/2013:
$16.2771 - $21.8257/Hourly
Employees Hired on or After 10/1/2013
$15.0697- $21.8255/Hourly
