SalaryAmberwoods of Farmington is currently welcoming applications for a 20 hour per week Recreation Assistant to join our team and help enrich quality of life for our residents. We are searching for a candidate who is energetic, outgoing, enthusiastic, creative, a team player, and has a talent for working with people with dementia.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma
- Has the ability to verbally and nonverbally communicate effectively with people with dementia
- Has the ability to implement recreational activities
- Attends 8 hours of specialized dementia care training annually (provided by Amberwoods)
- Works hours as needed by the requirements of the position/assignment including weekends, evenings and holidays
- Must be able to wear full PPE, including N95 masks and face shields throughout their shift when necessary
