Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Recreation Assistant to join our team. As a Recreation Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with various administrative tasks and supporting the overall operations of our recreation department. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
Duties:
- Assist with calendar management, scheduling appointments, and coordinating events
- Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate records and documentation
- Assist with event planning and coordination, including logistics and participant communication
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about our recreation programs
- Utilize computer literacy skills to navigate software programs and perform tasks such as email communication, document editing, and data analysis
- Utilize DocuSign to process necessary paperwork and obtain electronic signatures
- Collaborate with team members to transcribe meeting notes and distribute relevant information
- Provide excellent customer service to participants, addressing their needs and resolving any issues that may arise
- Assist with financial tasks such as processing payments, managing invoices, and utilizing QuickBooks for basic accounting functions
Skills:
- Strong calendar management skills to effectively schedule appointments and coordinate events
- Proficient in data entry to maintain accurate records and documentation
- Experience in event planning or coordination is preferred
- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle incoming calls professionally
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in using Google Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets)
- Ability to transcribe meeting notes accurately and efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with participants
- Basic knowledge of QuickBooks for basic accounting tasks is a plus
