Recreation Assistant

We are looking to hire a Recreation Assistant at Portland Care and Rehab Centre. We are a 65 bed, family-owned skilled nursing facility located in Portland CT. We are looking for an individual who is professional, dependable, punctual, compassionate, demonstrates good communication skills and has own transportation. The Recreation Assistant is responsible for the following:

· Participating in the recreational activities with the residents of the facility.

· Transporting residents to and from these activities within the building.

· Daily documentation of these activities.

· Recreation Assistant will set up room/area for these activities in advance and ask all able residents to participate.

· Requires standing and walking for long periods of time.

May be required to complete our Feeding Assistant Certification Course and completion of all mandatory in-services.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Rotating weekends

Experience:

• Long Term Care: 1 year (Preferred)
