Job Description:
The position will work with the Comprehensive Opioid Recovery Center (CORC) grant team. The goal of the CORC is to identify treatment/ resource gaps in communities and to work with community stakeholders to develop a plan to fill those gaps and ensure a full continuum of care is available to anyone with a substance use/co-occurring disorder seeking treatment. The grant covers Bartholomew, Decatur, Jackson, Jefferson, Jennings, Lawrence, Monroe, Morgan and Scott counties. The purpose of CORC is to create a network of support for those with addiction, identifying needs, collecting data to study what is and is not working and hoping to drive policy and funding for Comprehensive Opioid Recovery Centers across the nation.
The CORC Recovery Coach will provide evidence-based individual and group clinical interventions both in the office and community settings to develop trusting relationships with clients. Engage with clients so that they may more freely discuss substance use and its effects on mental and physical health and daily functioning. Aid clients in setting their own goals for treatment, as well as plans to reduce or abstain from substance use and to learn healthy coping skills. Build rapport and a therapeutic relationship with clients to introduce them to all the elements of a healthy recovery.
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Teaches, guides, instructs and supports persons with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders to address barriers in any life domain, associated with their recovery. Identifies and meets the client where they are and coaches them to success. Teaches skills such as: self-advocacy, negotiation, problem solving, goal setting, symptom management, recovery capital, daily living (i.e. housekeeping, cooking, cleaning, and parenting), communication, coping, financial/budgeting and money management, benefits management, vocational, identifying triggers to prevent relapse, community integration, and social/recreation/leisure skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicates client status with interdisciplinary team and referral sources.
  • Participate in team meetings for the discussion formulation of the treatment plan.
  • Complete clinical documentation that is accurate, meets organizational standards in composition and content, and is adequate for communication about client's treatment and progress.
  • Completes authorizations paperwork for clients including ASAMs, Care Plans, CANS/ANSA's and all documentation/assessments necessary for treatment specific to the program.
  • Complete clinical documentation within 24 hours of the service provided.
  • Uses structured, standardized interventions and resources for teaching to assist clients in overcoming barriers to recovery.
  • Provides individual and/or group interventions in the home, community or office setting.
  • Works within various community systems to collaborate on behalf of, and with, the client. Includes the criminal justice system, the child welfare system, hospital/medical systems, educational, etc.
  • Assesses and updates person-centered plan with the client and collaterals and monitors progress of the plan. Ensures client's clinical record is maintained and up to date at all times. Clinical documentation is accurate, meets organizations standards in composition and content, and is adequate for communication about client's treatment and progress.
  • Submits reports to referral sources on clients participation and progress in treatment, where authorized

QUALIFICATIONS
Education Level
Bachelor's level preferred, Associate's degree or Two years of experience or two years of college coursework in related field may be substituted for degree requirement.
Years of Experience
Minimum of two years professional experience working directly with adults or youth and families in a child welfare, school, childcare, criminal justice behavioral health or related setting preferred.
Certification/Licensure
Obtain and maintain CANS/ANSA Certification

$15.11--$18.84
