(CSS) is seeking an experienced Senior Records Management Associate to join our team of talented professionals. This is a full-time remote opportunity.

CSS built and operates the largest and most advanced mortgage securitization platform in the world, supporting the Uniform Mortgage-Backed Security (UMBS) of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Job Information


The Senior Records Management Associate is responsible for deployment, and enforcement of policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the proper use and maintenance of records at CSS. This position will partner with Data Governance, Business and IT Stewards to drive continuous improvement of our Records Management capabilities, practices, and outcomes to enhance both business performance and compliance levels over time through achievement of target information maturity model milestones.


Key Job Functions

  • Perform the day-to-day activities for records governance and Records Management lifecycle functions to ensure alignment and compliance with corporate and applicable governmental policies and standards.
  • Identify, document, and integrate records governance and Records Management practices into existing business and IT processes, inclusive of process development, improvement, and adoption.
  • Assist in the evaluation/development of automated and manual procedures in support of maturing records governance functions.
  • Ensure consistency in the adoption of records policies, standards, and processes.
  • Contribute to definition and delivery of records education and training programs.
  • Assist to complete all necessary risk and control assessments, internal or external audits, and gather suitable evidence of effectiveness, as required in support of records governance function.
  • Establish, document, maintain, communicate, and enforce an effective records governance issue and change control process.
  • Implement, enhance, and maintain Records Management procedures, methodologies and tools, as required, in alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Champion records governance and educate the enterprise about records governance and stewardship.
  • Work with liaisons and record owners to make sure that all record elements have accurate business definitions and required metadata is captured in alignment with CSS and industry standards for their records.
  • Ensuring Record Owners classify their records / information appropriately.
  • Reporting on records governance performance.
  • Recommend solutions to resolve issues in records policies, records definitions, record usage, record quality and metrics.
  • Collaborate with liaisons and record owners to assess, prioritize, and mitigate risks that may affect business operations, risk management, and regulatory compliance resulting from Records Management and/or quality deficiencies.
  • Assist in maintaining, supporting, and contributing to the enhancement of the Records Management and Data Governance SharePoint sites.
QUALIFICATIONS:


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Data Sciences or Library Sciences preferred.

Minimum Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring employer sponsorship currently or in the future. CSS does not offer H-1B sponsorship for this position.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed with excellent organization, analytical and interpersonal skills, and consistently meet or exceed deadline deliverables.
  • Experience developing and conducting training.
  • Acts with integrity and proactively seeks ways to ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong skills with Excel, SharePoint, database technology, and self-service business intelligence tools.
  • Strong communication skills to facilitate meetings and workshops to collect data, functional and technology requirements, document processes, data flows, gap analysis, and associated data to support Records Management/governance related efforts.
  • Ability to effectively interface with cross-functional teams at varying levels to lead, support, mentor and communicate Records Management policies, standards, processes, overall Records Management activities, and resolve issues.
  • Strong understanding of the importance and regulatory requirements of good records quality, and the ability to champion results across functions.
  • Ability to develop alliances throughout the company to mature Records Management and governance capabilities.
  • Ability to lead collaborative meetings which result in clear documented outcomes, a concrete understanding of meeting attendee performance/reliability, and ongoing management & follow-up for action items.
  • Demonstrated experience in records and/or data governance and management with a strong understanding of process re/design in either a business or IT role a plus.
  • Knowledge and understanding of records and/or data standards and principles to drive best practices around records and/or data management activities and solutions.
  • Understand conceptual records and/or data and business process modeling and records and/or data life cycle / state transition concepts.
  • Experience using data profiling / quality tools with the ability to access databases with SQL or other methods.
  • Knowledge of or experience in Records Management systems.
  • Successful candidates will have Records Management training or certification, or will be expected to complete training/certification.
  • Successful candidates will have a Data Governance and Stewardship Professional (DGSP) certification or equivalent or will be expected to become certified.
Pay Range $109,250 to $125,500
CSS’s pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law. CSS offers a competitive total compensation package, which includes a performance bonus, 401k match, healthcare coverage, PTO, and a broad range of other benefits.
