Human Support Services is seeking to add a full-time Secretary/Receptionist, to our premier team in Monroe County, IL. This position will work Monday - Friday. The hours of the position will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 12p-8p; Wednesday & Friday 8:30a-4:30p.
Duties are as follows:
- Handle daily receptionist duties which includes preparing daily schedules and client tickets.
- Completes program assignments: data processing and filing.
- Completes state-required data input and maintenance for respective program(s).
- Completes medical director assignments.
- Maintains existing program forms and creates new program forms; maintains applicable program-related system binders.
- Processes monthly peer review data.
- Completes support staff assignments.
- Serves on agency committees as opportunities arise.
- Backup duties for other secretaries/receptionist(s).
- Collect proof of income, Insurance cards and all other necessary records from clients.
- Be able to independently load insurance and fee shares into Netsmart.
- Be able to properly read a patient’s ledger to obtain proper payment.
- Accurately collect payments from clients.
- Other duties as necessary or related to the successful completion of other stated position duties, or as mutually agreed.
The mission of HSS is to provide high quality, comprehensive services to Monroe County residents with mental health or substance abuse needs, or developmental disabilities. HSS is a private, non-profit community resource founded in 1973, providing confidential COA-accredited services.
Requirements:Position requires knowledge, skills and mental development to (1) a high school degree or business school degree in related areas, (2) on the job experience in a similar position, and/or (3) experience and working knowledge of a community mental health setting. Employee must also be able to work independently frequently and must be a self-starter. Proficient in office equipment operation, which includes, but is not limited to computer, typewriter, telephone equipment, calculator, fax machine, copier, scanner and shredder. Electronic data processing and spreadsheet knowledge is required, preferably Microsoft Word and Excel.
Employee must have: a normal (or correctable) range of hearing in both ears for answering phones, using Dictaphone and radio transmission; the ability to climb small ladder for filing; the vision correctable to 20/20 in order to operate computer, see files and other miscellaneous
