Targeted Hourly Pay Range: Minimum of $19 to a maximum of $20

Position Purpose:
Responsible for performing switchboard operations by screening, taking messages, and/or directing callers to appropriate individuals. Perform a variety of other clerical functions to include opening, sorting, and distributing mail to various departments as well as preparing all outgoing mail, light typing, filing, copying, etc.
Primary Duties/responsibilities:
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct the party to the appropriate individual.
- Perform a variety of light typing of formatted letters, memos, documents, etc.
- Open, sort, and distribute mail to appropriate departments within the facility.
- Prepare special packages for overnight delivery.
- Maintain a variety of filing systems to ensure accuracy.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education / Experience / Background:
- High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required
- Prior work experience of 6 months to 1 year in a clerical capacity preferred
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong team player
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong customer orientation
