Job Title: Receptionist
Reports to: Administrator / Executive Director
Description: The receptionist is responsible for greeting all residents, family members and
visitors, and answering all telephone calls in a friendly and professional manner.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, basic secretarial skills, age 18 or over or
have proper work permit and work authorization documentation, DOJ and FBI
fingerprint clearances, health screening, negative TB test and will comply with all
Company Policies and Procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
• Answer and direct telephone calls in a timely and professional manner.
• Take and deliver phone messages.
• Complete typing and general administrative duties as requested by the Executive Director
and/or Front Desk Supervisor.
• Maintain the Community’s resident files as required by State Licensing and under the
direction of the Executive Director.
• Assist Department Heads as necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness of main entrance and desk areas.
• Maintain office supply inventory within budgetary constraints.
• Monitor and screen all visitors, requesting them to sign the log book as they enter and
leave the Community.
• Sort and distribute mail.
• Route special deliveries.
• Accept and report residents’ special maintenance requests.
• Schedule tray service for residents and use of the private dining room.
• Receive payments for monthly services.
• Place wake up calls as requested.
• Maintain communication among staff as to resident wellness.
• Assist residents in setting and attending appointments.
• Maintain the Community’s lost and found articles.
• Assist with activities and special events when requested.
• Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
