Receptionist

The primary purpose of this position is to perform duties necessary to the smooth, day-to-day operation of the The Retreat Skilled Nursing reception desk, PRN or as needed.

Specific Duties include:

• Assemble admissions packets, marketing brochures, information packets, and making sure that stock of all three is maintained
• File documents; make and distribute copies; format letters and documents; pepare mail merges for large monthly mailings
• Complete credit card reconciliation for assigned departments
• Order office supplies for departments, as needed
• Answer the telephone and transfer calls to the appropriate department
• Maintain day book with necessary information to keep other shifts informed
• Monitor emergency intercom system and respond to all emergency calls from residents, as well as fire alarms
• Monitor radios

• Graduation from high school or GED preferred
• One (1) year of business school or two (2) years experience in a similar position
• Experience in office procedures and ability to operate various office equipment, including telephones, required
• Knowledge of Office applications and the ability to learn new applications required
• Ability to work with the public with an emphasis on interaction with the elderly required
• CPR and First Aid certifications
