FCS invites you to apply to join our team of Behavioral Healthcare and mentoring professionals. We are currently seeking a new part-time Intake Counselor and Reception Support Staff Member who has the ability to work at our Oswego office. The agency is comprised of Clinicians and Administrative Employees who work together within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to client and referral source requests for FCS services, whether via walk-in, phone, online or other
• Assist with reception duties as needed
• Verify insurance/payor benefits and status within 24 hours of scheduling initial appointment
• Enter client intake information into the appropriate software system within 24 hours of intake
• Provide appropriate referral(s) to clients who cannot be adequately served in FCS services
• Provide education and support to other FCS staff in matters related to intake/access to services
• Participate in agency fundraising events
• Attend to scheduled work hours with flexibility to attend to department scheduling needs

Schedule:

• Full-time days Mon-Thurs generally 8am to 4pm.
• Saturday day shift rotation as needed

Qualifications/Skills:

• Bilingual candidate (English/Spanish) preferred
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Use of computer hardware/software
• Organizational skills
• Professional telephone and in-person demeanor
• Knowledge of service area referral options
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure effective client service
