Responsibilities:
- Greets all patients, visitors and employees entering the facility in a courteous and professional manner, displaying good communication skills. (Includes placing one's self in a highly visible position to facilitate active greeting.)
- Arranges for or provides personal escort service whenever appropriate and necessary, can include assisting individual via wheelchair.
- Provides accurate directions to patient rooms, hospital departments, etc.
- Answers all calls/requests promptly, courteously and efficiently. Transfers calls correctly and provides non-confidential hospital information to the caller as needed. Maintains confidential information in compliance with HIPAA laws.
- Maintains documentation to facilitate operation of the information center.
- Utilize EPIC to retrieve patient information.
- Performs job in a cost-effective manner and maintains work area in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Assist with Systemwide duties as assigned by Supervisor or Director.
- Performs routine clerical and administrative tasks as assigned by Supervisor or Director.
EDUCATION:
Associates Degree - Preferred
EXPERIENCE:
Prior Epic system experience preferred. Prior experience in a customer service environment preferre - Preferred
