As a Receptionist at Miller’s, you are goal-oriented, organized, and work well in a fast-paced environment. You work well as part of a team and are responsible for a variety of support and clerical duties in a small office. Your primary duties are to welcome visitors to our facility at the front desk and to screen and direct incoming phone calls. You will directly support the Business Office Manager and will assist patients, staff and families with questions.
Work responsibilities include:
1. Performs a variety of responsible and confidential secretarial and clerical work in an independent manner, exercising judgment and initiative; speed and accuracy.
2. Learns, interprets, and applies organizational policies, rules and regulations.
3. Maintains files and file references in an organized manner.
4. Ensures accurate and timely sorting and filing of all patient documentation, including canning and uploading documents.
5. Operates computerized system and reviews medical records with speed, accuracy and skill in accordance with established instructions.
6. Assists in maintaining an adequate inventory of office supplies, forms and medical supplies.
7. Performs a variety of clerical work in an independent manner, exercising judgment and initiative; speed and accuracy.
8. Research and release information to persons or outside agencies according the regulations.
9. Maintains courteous phone manners with all incoming call; screen and transfer all calls, appropriately prioritize callers; patient calls are priority
10. Maintains patient confidentiality of all clinical documentation records.
11. Maintain staff confidentiality information private and not share with anyone else without prior authorization.
12. Maintains professionalism in appearance.
13. Uses all Agency equipment appropriately and maintains optimal conditions to prevent damage of equipment.
14. Attend all mandatory Agency inservices and staff meetings.
15. Adhere to all written policies and procedures as described in the Employee Handbook.
16. Performs other duties as assigned which may include duties for the CEO.
17. Assist field staff with supplies and admission folders.
QualificationsHigh School graduate
Minimum of one year experience in a business setting, health care preferred
Word processing/computer skills preferred
Good communication skills
Customer service skills
Organization skills
Knowledge of office procedures and filing systems
