Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Receiving Clerk. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming shipments. Your role will be crucial in ensuring accurate inventory management and efficient warehouse operations.
Duties:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify the contents against purchase orders or invoices
- Inspect shipments for damages or discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate personnel
- Use warehouse management systems and RF scanners to accurately record received items into inventory
- Load and unload trucks using equipment such as reach trucks or order pickers
- Assist with order fulfillment by picking and packing items for shipment
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the receiving area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures
- Proficiency in using RF scanners, warehouse management systems, and other relevant technology
- Ability to operate equipment such as reach trucks or order pickers (training can be provided)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording information
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and calculating quantities
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and vendors
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
