As part of this remarkable journey, we are looking for a Rebuild Shop Technician.
The job
This position will be utilized in the workshop. The Rebuild Shop Technician must be safety conscious, hard- working, a self-starter with the ability to follow directions, and troubleshoot mechanical parts. Work will at times will be performed in a team environment. Responsibilities include tearing down of units to be rebuilt, cleaning and rebuilding of units, new assembly, general fabrication to include machining, welding of carbon and stainless steel, and painting.
You will report to the Shop Supervisor and be a part of the Operations team in North America.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Workshop:
- Hands-on equipment rebuilding and assembly using both new and rebuild parts
- Shot blasting and cleaning of parts
- Prepping and painting equipment parts
- Work with automation and manual machines
- MIG and TIG welding
- Keeping a clean and orderly shop
What we want from you
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Must be able to follow and adhere to all established safety guidelines and regulations.
- Must have strong mechanical ability, experience using basic hand tools.
- MIG and TIG welding knowledge and experience
- Must be able to read a tape measure in METRIC UNITS.
- Must be able to read and understand technical manuals and drawings with part lists.
- Must be able to lift 50-80lbs with ease and often and be able to work long hours when necessary to finish a job and get equipment back to the customer.
- Must have good communication skills
- Ability to work individually or with a team in the workshop.
- Must have basic forklift or other heavy equipment operating skills.
- Basic knowledge of machine shop equipment, automotive and/or equipment repairing, pipe fitting or plumbing, electrical and hydraulics preferred.
- Basic computer skills for emailing and making job reports preferred.
- Must be dependable and punctual.
- Will have the opportunity to travel when needed
