POSITION:Real Estate Acquisitions Intern (Temporary Role)
COMPENSATION/TIME COMMITMENT: Pursuant to CO regulations, the compensation structure for the temporary internship is as follows:
  1. The internship time commitment period will run from May 28th, 2024 to July 31st, 2024 (47 days not including weekends or holidays)
  2. Compensation for this role will be a total of $5,157.78 paid in equal installments per the Cardinal Group Companies payroll calendar (Bi-Weekly payroll)
  3. The total time worked each week will not exceed 5 contiguous days (Mon-Fri).
  4. The total work week will not exceed 30 hours worked (6 hours per day)
  5. Physical presence in Denver, CO is preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Real Estate Acquisitions Intern will have the opportunity to learn and grow by working on the Acquisitions Team at Cardinal Group Investments (CGI). Through supporting the Acquisitions team, the candidate will have the opportunity to apply knowledge and skills learned in school while acquiring valuable real-world experience at a best-in-class, institutional-level organization.

Cardinal Group Investments (CGI) is Cardinal's private equity Real Estate investment and development arm with $1.5B+ in assets under management and growing. CGI's strategy is focused primarily on investing in value-add student housing and conventional multifamily nationwide with institutional investors through funds, separate accounts, and joint ventures. The candidate will work exclusively on CGI-owned assets and will have regular interaction with the asset management and capital markets teams, including senior leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to):
• Perform market research evaluating macro market trends, individual market dynamics, and property-specific comparables.
• Assemble reports of comparable assets within target markets to benchmark and assists in asset underwriting.
• Assist in transaction management.
• Assist in analysis and drafting of business plans for new acquisitions.
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Real Estate, business or a related field.
• An interest in the commercial Real Estate industry with a passion for knowledge and growth.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Gsuite.
TIME COMMITMENT:
• 12-month commitment. This is a year-round position with the goal of being fully immersed as part of the investment team and an opportunity to dive deeper than a typical summer program.
• 15-20 hours per week, with the potential for more hours based on need and transaction volume
LOCATION:
Cardinal's Denver HQ is located at 4100 E. Mississippi Ave. Remote work options are available on a limited basis at the manager's discretion.
