The Mission Systems Business Development operations team is looking for a highly motivated summer Marketing Intern. This position offers a variety of meaningful work assignments that directly impact our go to market strategies. You will have the opportunity to network across the business development organization and various disciplines to include sales, business development, business analytics, competitive intelligence, and strategy personnel.

The Marketing intern role will work directly with internal stakeholders to create marketing information resources for the Mission Systems Business Development team. Capture marketing activities and maintain scorecard of value impact to the business. The Marketing Intern will provide value-added, actionable deliverables and develop an understanding of our current position within the market we serve.

Responsibilities Include:

• Contributing on marketing projects through ownership of sub-projects reporting to the marketing lead

• Support Mktg-led activities such as Tradeshow and customer event planning, and internal meetings to develop marketing plans and actions.

• Conduct marketing research where you collect, synthesize, and analyze data on key competitors.

• Supports development and maintenance of tools, processes and systems used for collection, storage, and distribution of marketing materials.

• Create internal presentations to support further communications of our internal processes and roles and responsibilities.

• Initiate work product draft materials and process documentation and assist in facilitating review and approval of marketing materials with business stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline. Business/ STEM degrees candidates.

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Good understanding, skills, and experience in applying principles of Marketing.

• Effective communicator both verbal and written. Written skills to include copy editing with detail in grammar and spelling.

• Ability to work effectively on project assignments without a lot of oversight and moderate instruction.

• Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

• Able to collect, analyze and distill key information into a concise and usable format.

• Organizational skills that allow you to work on multiple projects and meet time constraints.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
