Master’s Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience
Ph.D. and 0 years of experience
- Practical experience in production areas supporting CVNs, VCS, or CLB
- Experience with robotics and automation, inclusive of programming and implementation
- Extensive engineering knowledge attained through either new construction engineering (Carrier and/ Submarine) and/or overhaul engineering (Carrier and/or Submarine). Facilities engineering experience may also be considered
- Waterfront engineering and/or waterfront experience is beneficial
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly present technical approaches and findings
- Demonstrated technical leadership capability and the ability to mentor junior engineers and/or brief upper management
- Travel is expected. This may include conferences, briefs to Navy personnel, and shop / ship environment. Ability to support travel on emergent basis is desired
- Previous experience performing technical work and/or project execution of emerging technologies, process development, test plan development, R&D, materials analysis, technical scouting, and/or complex technical analyses
- Professional engineering licensure and/or master’s degree in technical field (ME, Marine Engineering, Aerospace, etc.) is preferred. A master’s in business administration (MBA) or engineering management degrees with applicable bachelor education/work experience may also be considered
- Engineering degrees in related areas will be considered
- Ability to obtain a secret clearance
