Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in Design Development:
- Work closely with the Rail Design team to contribute to the development and enhancement of rail infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with rail engineers on the creation of detailed design drawings, plans, and specifications.
- CAD Modeling and Drafting:
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software (Microstation) to create accurate and detailed models and drawings.
- Assist with ensuring designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and project requirements.
- Data Analysis:
- Assist in collecting and analyzing data relevant to rail projects.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineers and project managers.
- Communicate effectively to convey ideas, progress, and challenges.
- Quality Assurance:
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure designs are error-free and meet client standards.
- Other duties assigned or required to meet the business needs
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Proficiency with electronic communication including e-mail and text, as well as standard office applications (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Possess basic oral and written communication skills
- Interact with other staff

Required Education and Experience:
- Working towards a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program.
- No experience required.
