Job Description
- The Rad Tech will be performing radiographic tests to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injuries in ED, in both in- and out- patient settings.
- The Rad Tech is expected to follow the physicians written prescription/order, talk to the patient throughout the test and answer their questions to allay their worries.
- Position the patient correctly, adjust the x-ray equipment to the specified setting to prevent unnecessary radiation exposure.
- Will be expected to work in the ED, main x-ray, and/or OR.
Experience:
- Radiologic Technologist needed to work in a fast paced, high volume community hospital.
- Must have active/current NJ DEP License, AART and BLS certifications included in packet at time of submission.
- At least one year inpatient x-ray experience is required.
- Must know how to use radiographic equipment independently and be proficient in using PACS.
