Job Description
The Quality Technician will be responsible for reviewing material certifications to make sure all chemical and mechanical data was entered properly, entering missing data, and releasing the material to operations.This will involve understating different material certs and data entry into our ERP database.They will also be responsible for the overflow in our testing lab.This person will be using a torch to cut samples, then using a VMC mini mill to machine a dog bone, and then testing the dog bone using our tensile tester.The test results will then have to be evaluated to the requirements and entered into our ERP database.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Verification and data entry for Chemical and Mechanical certifications
- Releasing material holds in ERP System
- Cutting samples using a plasma torch
- Machining samples using a VMC Mini Mill
- Testing samples using a Tensile Tester
- Evaluating and entering test results into ERP system
COMPETENCIES
- Other projects as assigned
- Knowledge of basic computer applications, notably Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of chemical and mechanical properties preferred but not required
- Mechanically inclined

- Ability to problem solve and organize
