Quality Tech Summary
1. As a Quality Tech you are responsible for working directly with Supply Chain, Shipping, Receiving, machine operators, production personnel and other quality management individuals. In addition, you are responsible for performing quality checks of incoming material and final inspection of outgoing product to ensure the instructions and procedures are being followed. Work is usually performed under minimal supervision and requires the use of independent judgment and initiative while continuing to work within defined policies and procedures.
Functions/Responsibilities
Conduct, behavior and actions in accordance with Oxco core values of Caring, Creativity, Determination, Dependability and Teamwork
Quality control- serve as a material inspector to assure that all quality standards have been met.
Inspect, test, or measure materials in accordance with requirements when receiving raw materials and shipping finished goods.
Assist in defining testing processes and identifying other characteristics to test incoming materials as needs arise.
Review Certificates of Analysis to ensure conformance of incoming material requirements.
Prepare Certificates of Analysis to send to customers.
Maintain database of Certificates of Analysis to ensure correct versions.
Lead or Assist in Conducting Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions with Supply Chain.
Lead and assist in outgoing final inspections.
Document results of inspections
Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products.
Quarantine material that does not meet specifications.
Generate samples per sample request.
Assist during the internal audit process.
Report any concerns that arise from the day-to-day work to the quality manager or President.
Qualifications
Education: Minimum 2 years technical school or higher
Experience: 3 years of experience
Skills:
High Attention to detail
Accuracy in entering data and in communicating information with others; ability to see errors and identify inconsistencies
- Collaboration Work effectively with other personnel to achieve established outcomes and resolve issues
- Dependability - Consistent attendance is required and rewarded
- Communication- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Computer- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access

- Operate Testing Equipment to measure basis weight, thickness, elongation, tear, color fastness, absorption, and others
