Truform Manufacturing LLC is located in Dickson Tennessee approximately 40 minutes to the West of Nashville Tennessee and is a TS16949 / ISO9001 supplier to the automotive and appliance industries.
Truform Manufacturing incorporates metal stamping, robotic MIG welding and automated high speed assembly operations in its modern, ultra clean facilities. The recent addition of brand-new Amada CNC Press Brakes, Fiber Lasers and CNC Turret press capability has greatly expanded Truform’s ability to produce superior parts in a “just in time” environment.
Truform Manufacturing is looking for Quality Technicians to join our team on the Day Shift and Afternoon Shift!
This position reports to the Quality Supervisor and works within the “Quality Team” providing support for dimensional layouts, gauge and fixture verifications, gauge design concepts to include the bullet points below.
Qualifications:
· CMM experience is a plus.
· High school math that included either algebra and geometry.
· Must be willing to learn or have a working knowledge of MSA.
· Experience with FARO or ROMAR programming/usage (is a plus)
Essential functions and responsibilities:
· Support plant wide calibration system.
· Perform First, Middle and Last Off checks.
· Perform Layered Process Audits
· The ability to head up internal sort activity
· Performs destruct testing as needed
· Performs required gauge and check fixture verifications
· Prepare detailed inspection documentation such as written descriptions of inspection results including deviations from engineering specifications
· Assist engineers with qualification and validation of new or changed tools, gauges or parts
· Suggest potential root cause and corrective/preventive actions
· Works with both quality and engineering to develop gauge and tooling improvements
· Support Quality Engineering with assembling PPAP documents and assemble PPAP packages for new products
· Works on improvement projects as assigned
· Performs 4M Audits
· Establishes a working knowledge of the Truform Quality System
· Maintains a clean and organized office / plant work area
· Works within all areas of Truform/AHT with the ability to effectively communicate ideas, problems and solutions to all employees
· Performance shall be within the guidelines of the company’s policies and procedures
· Ability to learn the customers engineering specifications
· Ability to read, interpret and apply customer defined standards and specifications
· Ability to learn quickly, adapt and apply knowledge in a fast-paced environment
· Willingness to work flexible hours to meet customer expectations
· Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to read and write English
· Other Duties as assigned
Physical demands and work environment:
· Ability to be on the production floor for long periods of time
· Ability to sit, bend and stoop
· Ability to lift 70 lbs.Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to visually inspect parts with or without corrective lenses
