Quality Technician
Hebron, KY
2nd Shift: $16.00 per hour + $1/hr Shift Differential

Position Summary:
Performs quality inspections and audits in accordance with quality assurance program guidelines to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products.
Quality Technician Essential Functions:
- Collects, maintains and analyzes quality-related data to identify trends and conditions that may negatively impact the quality of the product.
- Performs inspection of incoming material and works with personnel to identify; isolate and trouble shoot quality related concerns.
- Performs thorough inspection of all material prior to machine start up and between changeovers.
- Assists the production lines as the Quality Assurance resource for all issues pertaining to the quality of the product.
- Documents and implements methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
- Reports quality issues, trends and losses to management.
- Maintains all quality records and documentation.
- Sets up and maintains testing program for incoming raw materials including; routinely audit system for effectiveness
- Reports on, documents and reviews product and material in quality assurance hold area.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Marginal Functions:
- Makes recommendations to stop productions based on quality or maintenance issues.
- Continually checks product and process to ensure all specified requirements are met.
- Assists in production line set up and during changeovers as needed.
- Provides feedback to other line workers regarding Quality issues.
- Strives for continuous improvements in production process.
Job Specifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior quality experience in a fast paced production environment, preferred.
- Willingness to train in ISO 9000 Training, Six Sigma and/or Lean manufacturing.
- Ability to work under pressure and follow specific instructions thoroughly and accurately.
- Ability to understand and follow company policies and procedures.
- Good understanding of ruler, calipers and thickness gauge.
