Job Description
- Inspect products to ensure that they meet quality standards.
- Disassemble product parts to inspect them individually.
- Monitor production operations to ensure conformance to company specifications.
- Ensure products meet customer expectations based on company objectives.
- Communicate the results of inspections and put forward corrective suggestions.
- Write reports to document deficiencies and errors of products.
- Help to report other production stoppages – quality, materials, equipment, etc.
- Perform assembly operations if production schedule and resource status are necessary.
- Other quality responsibilities as assigned.
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Proven experience as a quality control inspector in the same industry preferred.
- Proficient in computer work processing and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong regard for quality assurance according to company standards.
- Good knowledge about industry products and processes.
- Basic mathematical arithmetic.
- Excellent oral and communication skills.
- Excellent presentation and reporting skills.
- Good team player who can work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Certified Quality Inspector (CQU)
- Certified Lean Six Sigma
- Dexterity. Quality Control Inspectors should be able to quickly remove sample parts or products during the manufacturing process.
- Math skills. Knowledge of basic math and computer skills are important because measuring, calibrating, and calculating specifications are a major part of quality control testing.
- Mechanical skills. QC Inspectors must be able to use specialized tools and machinery when testing products.
- Physical Stamina. QC Inspectors must be able to stand for long periods on the job.
- Physical strength. Workers sometimes must lift heavy objects.
- Technical skills. QC Inspectors must understand blueprints, technical documents, and manuals, ensuring that products and parts meet quality standards.
