Supervise quality personnel engaged in inspecting materials, tools, work pieces, assembled products for conformance to specifications including activities to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards.
Competencies:
Ability to communicate effectively both in verbal and written form with customers, management and subordinates.
Demonstrate an extrusion, welding and machining background.
Must be computer literate in Windows based software.
Must possess strong technical writing skills and strong organizational skills.
Working familiarity with basic metrology, APQP, DCP, SPC, QOS, and problem-solving techniques.
Key Responsibilities/Deliverables:
1. Direct and supervise quality inspectors.
2. Report quality assurance data and information such as MRB or other information as defined by management.
3. Ensure cleanliness and organization of all quality assurance work areas.
4. Investigate, analyze and report manufacturing quality problems that occur both internally and externally (customer locations).
5. Ensure quality standards are maintained and procedures are followed.
6. Assist manufacturing in problem solving activities as required.
7. Conduct control plan audits and report results of same.
8. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
Education Required/Preferred:
Prefer Associates Degree in Metrology, Calibration and Industrial Supervision. Minimum high school diploma and five years of quality assurance experience.
