Summary Description
The Quality Project Specialist is responsible for outlining quality improvement projects, monitoring project progress, and scheduling follow-up meetings with key stakeholders to ensure projects are completed timely. The Project Specialist works closely with the Director, Quality Operations to develop practice improvement strategies and implement action plans. The Quality Project Specialist will work with the team to develop performance improvement projects and ensure accurate tracking and coordination of the team’s efforts. The Program Specialist assists in preparing key quality documents, presentation materials, creating project schedules, recording meeting decisions, preparing progress reports and ensuring team members meet deadlines.
Essential Functions
- Effectively assist with management of quality improvement projects from inception through on-going project monitoring.
- Coordinate meetings with key stakeholders to monitor project progress, obtain deliverables, anticipate possible risks and escalate as needed.
- Maintain accurate and current documentation of all active quality improvement projects, documents, meetings, and decisions.
- Participate in all cross-departmental workgroups or committees as needed for project completion.
- Coordinate and participate in development and production of associated quality improvement content.
- Performs other responsibilities as assigned by the department.
Required Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Degree in Project Management, Communication or Marketing.
- Minimum 1 year experience overseeing multiple projects.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and other web-based applications
- Personal management skills — Plan and manage multiple assignments and tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions and work assignments.
