The Headlines:
In the role of Quality Manager working in Watertown, WI will be part of the Leadership team at the Watertown Hops Company. You will serve as the owner and champion of obtaining and maintaining the plant's ISO and PSM management systems at the highest level. You will also assist in research, process development planning, and play a major role in promoting learning development in the facility.
This position serves as the Associate Chemist backup during vacations, absences or other needs.
This position reports to Operation Manager- Watertown Hops and works closely with the Quality and Operations team.
The Responsibilities:
- Most importantly, you will lead a team of 2 talented colleagues, and support their growth and development through career discussions and consistent one on one conversations
- Monitor analytical data, process trend charts, and run sheets to ensure compliance to the Quality Manual and timely reaction to trends in the data
- Champion the effort to achieve and maintain ISO and Kosher certification for Watertown Hops Company
- Review the Quality Manual on an annual basis to ensure compliance and recommend updates
- Log and track hold material, process deviations, and consumer complaints
- Represent the quality assurance aspect of the facility during audits and inspections
- Own the Process Safety Management program.
- Ensure that all chemicals in the facility are labeled in accordance with the facility's Hazard Communications Policy
- Serve as the Environmental Coordinator (become knowledgeable of hazardous waste regulations to ensure facility compliance, of DOT requirements for the shipping of hazardous materials, of the alarm system, fire protection equipment, spill containment and emergency response procedures, and perform routine inspections of the facility for compliance to air emissions, storm water and hazardous material regulations)
- Manage all Environmental reporting and participate in the Environmental Council (Both on and off-site)
- Serve as the Safety Manager - manage all safety reporting and participate in all MillerCoors Safety Council meetings (both on and off-site)
The Other Qualifications:

- You have a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Food Science, Chemistry OR other similar field preferred OR advanced degree in field of work.
- You have at least 2 years of experience in Quality Management, Manufacturing Leadership or performing analytical/chemical tests per established standards
- You have experience performing routine calibration and preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment is preferred
- You have experience managing ISO management systems preferred
- You have proven skills in Operations Division core competencies (Analytical/Problem Solving, Results Driven, Innovative, Team Player/Interpersonal Skills, Intellect, Resilient/Flexible/Adaptable, and Leadership Skills)
- You have strong planning and organizing skills to implement and control all elements required for managing the facility based management systems.
- You have interpersonal skills to represent the facility during audits and inspections, to participate on various technical meetings and to present materials to peers, subordinates, superiors, contractors, consultants and other professionals.
- You have strong attention to detail
