Summary/Objective
The Quality Control Technician I (QC Tech I) is an entry level position for Axiom. The QC Tech I inspects finished products by conducting quality control tests in one of three QC Labs at Axiom. These tests are performed while following all company policies and procedures to ensure personal safety. The QC Tech I assures overall product quality through verification of specific product requirements.
Essential Functions: 1. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 2. Understanding and operate laboratory or analytical equipment. 3. Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office software (Excel, Access, etc). 4. Can operate cutting machines and high temperature equipment and has willingness to be trained in lay-up, curing, cutting and mechanical testing. 5. Observe all company Health and Safety policies and utilize safe working practices. 6. This includes maintaining housekeeping daily to meet company standards. 7. Comply with all requirements established by Quality System. 8. Carry out physical testing requirements to predefined specifications and standards, maintaining clear and concise records of the testing, and ensuring associated equipment meets the needs of specifications and the business alike. 9. Work directly with supervision to maintain a clearly defined schedule for mechanical and analytical testing, ensuring resource requirements are communicated to all affected departments. 10. Create and maintain close working relationships with all other lab employees, support the needs of the business as communicated by supervision, and ensure the communicated 'Lab Rules' are followed at all times.

Physical Demands :The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a standing position. This would require the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to wear a NIOSH approved respirator.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Standard Hours of work for this second shift position are Monday through Friday, and occasional Saturdays, and are subject to change depending on the company’s needs. .
Preferred Experience 1-3 years in lab / quality function preferred. Manufacturing and/or Composites experience a plus.
