What to expect:
This is an on-going, part-time contract position in which you will support 1 time per month in Louisville, KY. You will be part of a global inspection team assuring the quality of components and assemblies that this global aerospace leader is sourcing from one or more suppliers in this area. Once on the team, you will be deployed through SQA's operations center based on client needs and each supplier's production schedule.
What you'll do:
You will be conducting the mechanical inspections of machined parts and components at our client's supplier site in Louisville, KY. In-process and final source inspection of mechanical parts. Read and interpret standard manufacturing drawings based on industry and commodity standards.
What you'll need:
4+ years of hands-on inspection experience with precision machined parts knowledge and hands-on experience working with various inspection tools (i.e. calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, etc.)
GD&T experience is required experience.
Note: Mechanical inspectors at this level are capable of validating dimensions (total tolerances >/=.005" with Minimal GD&T validation) utilizing standard hand tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gages)
$28 - $30 an hour
1/2 Portal to Portal Pay & Mileage Compensation ($0.65 per mile)
