JOB SUMMARY
Inspects and approves incoming materials, daily product and finished products for conformance and customer specifications.
COMPENSATION
This position starts at $17.50 per hour.
Pay is weekly on Friday.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspects and approves incoming materials, daily product and finished products by confirming specifications.
- Facilitates and/or sorts, rejects and returns unacceptable materials, requesting for re-work.
- Operates/programs coordinate measurement machines (CMM), roughness/form measurement machines to perform inspections.
- Evaluates problems and makes initial recommendations for possible corrective action
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing sort, re-work and waste and entering data into quality database.
- Provides input for inspection methods and improvements related to the job.
- Assists in investigations of process related quality issues
- Prepares and tracks gauges calibration and control
- Assists in process improvements activities
- Organizes work and storage areas for efficient workflow
