Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed Incoming, In-Process, and Final Inspection of electrical and mechanical parts to ensure they meet established quality standards and specifications.
- Utilize a variety of inspection equipment, including verniers/calipers, micrometers, gages (height, depth, ring, plug), optical comparators, and Testers, to perform accurate and reliable inspections.
- Possess prior experience with electrical assembly and sub-assembly parts, as well as mechanical components (sheet metal, screws/hinges), enabling a comprehensive understanding of the inspection process.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using ERP systems to look up parts, numbers, and SKUs for accurate and efficient inspections.
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation to ensure compliance with specified requirements.
- Perform equipment calibration to maintain accuracy and reliability in inspection processes.
- Collaborate with production teams and engineers to address and resolve quality-related issues.
- Maintain precise documentation of inspection results, ensuring compliance with good documentation practices.
- Report any non-conformities or discrepancies promptly and accurately for corrective action.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant education in manufacturing or quality assurance is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Manufacturing Inspector with a focus on electrical and mechanical components.
- Proficiency in using a variety of inspection equipment, including verniers/calipers, micrometers, gages, and comparators
- Basic computer skills, including experience with ERP systems
- Ability to calibrate inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Excellent blueprint reading skills and a strong understanding of engineering documentation.
