Quality Inspector

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed Incoming, In-Process, and Final Inspection of electrical and mechanical parts to ensure they meet established quality standards and specifications.
• Utilize a variety of inspection equipment, including verniers/calipers, micrometers, gages (height, depth, ring, plug), optical comparators, and Testers, to perform accurate and reliable inspections.
• Possess prior experience with electrical assembly and sub-assembly parts, as well as mechanical components (sheet metal, screws/hinges), enabling a comprehensive understanding of the inspection process.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using ERP systems to look up parts, numbers, and SKUs for accurate and efficient inspections.
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation to ensure compliance with specified requirements.
• Perform equipment calibration to maintain accuracy and reliability in inspection processes.
• Collaborate with production teams and engineers to address and resolve quality-related issues.
• Maintain precise documentation of inspection results, ensuring compliance with good documentation practices.
• Report any non-conformities or discrepancies promptly and accurately for corrective action.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant education in manufacturing or quality assurance is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Manufacturing Inspector with a focus on electrical and mechanical components.
• Proficiency in using a variety of inspection equipment, including verniers/calipers, micrometers, gages, and comparators
• Basic computer skills, including experience with ERP systems
• Ability to calibrate inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Excellent blueprint reading skills and a strong understanding of engineering documentation.
