POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Inspector position is responsible for the inspection of precision machined components and assemblies by using various precision inspection equipment methods. The inspector will be required to use this equipment effectively to verify conformance to customer print and specification requirements. The position will also require the employee to work in a team environment to resolve schedule and technical problems as they arise.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support and develop quality inspection systems
- Inspection of precision machined components and assemblies including reading blueprints, material specifications, machining parameters and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances.
- Ensure all gauges have gauge repeatability and reproducibility (GR&R) capability for associated components and assemblies’ tolerances.
- Adherence and support of ISO 9001:2015 quality system requirements.
- Final inspection, first article inspection, validation and corresponding ISO documentation requirements. Complete documentation per requirements.
- Continuously improving QA inspection related work instructions, process and procedures.
- Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.
- Internal process corrective action support.
- Supporting root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for all process related concerns.
- Self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Assist with NCR and RMA.
- Preparation of QA reports as necessary.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Internal Auditor for ISO 9001:2015 requirements a plus.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience working as a Quality Inspector required.
- Computer skills, Microsoft Office
- Fundamental understanding quality systems, documentation, and implementation to ISO Standards such as ISO 9001:2015.
- Previous machining experience is a plus.
