Achilles USA is looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our growing team. The QC Inspector would be responsible for reviewing quality requirements for each product and ensuring the product meets requirements. This position also requires ability to work a variety of shifts to facilitate training schedules.
Essential Functions:
- The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for interfacing with the production crews in all matters related to quality.
- Conducts final inspection on all products made during the shift. This includes calendar line inspections, review of strip samples, and review of 9-yard samples.
- Reports non-conforming material (rejection) and issues the rejection notification if needed.
- Assists in the root cause and CAPA investigations for customer returns and rejections.
- Preform in-house calibration as per the LIMS calibration program schedule.
- Reviews work instructions and submits revisions if needed.
- Look for continuous improvement ideas and corrective actions that can improve the quality and get us closer to the company goals. Fix these issues if it is within quality inspector authority. Report these ideas to your manager if it is beyond your scope of authority.
- Conducts quality training for the online inspectors for daily activities if needed.
- Setup and maintain all quality measuring equipment on the factory floor. This includes validating all new quality measuring equipment.
- Assists with rejections, medical trackabilities, product transfer and product release.
- Verify that the packaging, special instruction, work order packet instructions and test methods are being followed by the crews. Mentor and guide the operators and inspectors if weak areas are found.
- Create and maintain the ISRA codes. This includes the optimization and troubleshooting of specific codes.
Qualifications:
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- ISO 9000 Training.
Experience
- 1-2 years’ experience with Quality Control and standard test methods.
